Event management - Menu sub-tab
Within Backstage, you have the option to manage public and private visibility to specific pages displayed in Virtual Venue (event page) via the Menu tab. You can limit the visibility of the pages according to the participant's registration status for the event, namely:
- before registration (anonymous users),
- after registration (logged-in users).
Note: Registered participants are automatically logged in. After logging out, they must log back in by entering their email address and PIN code, which the system sends to their email inbox.
Tip: When managing event economics it is important to target your audience. Some events allow participants to preview introductory event details such as programme highlights and/or presenters profiles before registering. With this in mind, Laia allows you to create a two step registration process for attendees. For non-logged-in/non-registered participants, you can make only the Home, Agenda and Speakers pages visible as part of the event Homepage .This will only provide them with basic information about the event. If they are interested in further information, they will have to register/log in. Alternatively you can allow logged-in registered participants to see otherwise restricted pages such as Live Stream, Chats, Feedback or Partners to name a few. Thus, logged-in participants will have access to the complete content of the event.
Click on the Menu tab and you will see the Menu options panels where you fill in the details of the planned event for registered and non-registered users.
In the left column you set the visibility of the pages in the menu before the participant registers/logs in. These pages and their contents will be publicly available and visible to anonymous site visitors who have not yet registered/logged in.
In the right column you set the visibility of the pages in the menu after the user has logged in. These pages and their contents will only be visible to logged-in registered participants.
Note: List of editable tabs - Home, Agenda, Speakers, Live stream, Social, Feedback, Partners and any newly created page.
