The Laia platform's virtual environment and concepts overview

Explanation of the virtual venue screen and associated concepts on the Laia event platform

The Laia event platform consists of two operating environments:

  • Virtual Venue for Attendees (event homepage) - the screen where event attendees can find all the information about a specific event, including the agenda, speakers biographies, chatrooms, live streams (recordings of the event) and a space for matchmaking, networking and event interaction.

  • Backstage for Event Planners - this is the user interface for event planners where it is possible to set up and edit events and all associated content - essentially the administration dashboard where the event organizer enters information about the event, uploads graphics, customizes the Virtual Venue to the desired visual requirements, manages event attendees, etc.

The Backstage screen contains all platform setup options including:

  • Event  Tab - This is the starting point when you want to create any event.  Here is where you set up an event’s general settings such as event title, web domain, location and dates/times.

  • Theme - visual settings for the event homepage (Virtual Venue) - Colors, Visuals

  • Registration - Attendee registration setup and participant management - Audience, Form, Import

  • Agenda - Event Program setup - Days, Stages & Slido, Presenters and Content

  • Streams - Live and Archived streaming settings

  • Social - Attendee networking setup and management - Chat Rooms, Matchmaking
  • Pages - Setting up custom pages visible on the event homepage.  Organizers can set up custom pages to display unique, event specific content.  These custom pages appear in the Virtual Venue menu bar (left hand side), below the default home, agenda presenter etc. pages.

  • Tickets - Ticketing administration and access control via permissions
  • Partners - Creation and management of Partners’ and Sponsors’ logos
  • Feedback - Creation and management of Feedback forms
  • Media Library - All in one repository for event related media files

  • Meetings - meeting setup and management screen
  • Analytics - Visualization tool for user and session data elements coupled with streaming statistics and feedback forms
